IMG_0978-5 copy

Goodbye Noughties *tear*, this decade has flown by so quickly but so greatly, many events whether bad or good have made and shaped these last 10 years that will greatly influence the years to come. We’ve survived Y2K, 9/11,  Anthrax, Mad Cow, Swine Flu and all the other possibilities that life could have thrown at us, not to mention the great things and people we lost in the noughties also.

I have so many things planned for 2010 I really can’t wait to begin I’m just sad we will start this blog off a delay again while a few technical difficulties get sorted out, however I’ve tried to give you guys as much updates as possible before all this so it doesn’t feel like a long time I’m away, but as soon as everything is fixed all posts will resume as normal, Can’t wait.

Again thank you to all who have supported me and my site since it started it’s been a great year but 2010 looks to be greater I hope it looks the same for you all too.

It is on that note that I want end this and tell you guys appreciate what we have in life now as we truly do not know what is around the corner.  A new decade, a new beginning, 2010.

Happy New Year Guys

Irina Lazareanu For Metal Magazine #18 December 2009

Love the way the outfits have been put together in this shoot, the jacket in the first shot seriously needs to be mine lol, while throughout the rest of the pics I’m loving the use of over-the-knee socks and suspenders to add that touch of sex appeal which wouldn’t be apparent otherwise. These images appear in Metal Magazines #18 issue.

Interview Magazine Showcases Bottega Veneta’s Spring Collection

The models in these pics are showcasing Bottega Veneta’s spring collection for Interview Magazine’s fall issue,  I didnt post all the pictures only the ones I liked. Dressed in light weight attire all the models look great and the pictures have this futuristic space like feel to them. I love how the editing has caused an exclusion effect on the hair also, it gives the picture real depth and extends it further than just looking at the models in clothes.

Most Noted Performer Of The Decade: Beyonce Knowles

There was no way I could not give this to Beyoncé, as much as I have my up’s and downs with her its fair to say she was the one our lips for the majority of the 00′s. She gave us fierceness, a diva attitude and a bunch of music videos & performances to go with it. I am very proud to see what she has accomplished over the years and to see where she’s come from to where she is now. I just hope that she can keep the fuel burning long into the 10′s as I’m sure she has much more up her sleeve for us.

Andre DeVeaux’s Top 10 Most Shocking Moments Of The Noughties

Fashion Icon Of The Decade: Victoria Beckham

You may like her, you may hate her, but it’s an undeniable fact that for the 00′s Victoria Beckham ruled the roost when it came to fashion. It was so hard not to get this confused with who is getting the most amount of fashion coverage right-now, but I definitely think its fair to say VB has this one hands down. Over the years she changed her image so much influencing women world-wide. Remember when you girls started cutting your hair into bob’s after Rihanna did Umbrella?, you thought you were copying RiRi right, well where do you think her inspiration came from?, how about when you girls were wearing those “hot at the time” circle shaped Boho belts on top of your t-shirts?, ok one last one what about when you wore those jeans with the fancy diamante detailing on the pockets. Well? Victoria Beckham bitches, do not mess.

So there we have it Victoria, I love everything you have given us this decade this title undoubtedly has to go to you. I can’t wait to see what you have install for us in the 10′s.

A Review Of Fashion Trends & Fads That Made The Noughties

Wow what can I say time flies when you’re having fun, this decade has gone by so quickly, so many ups so many downs, we saw the invention of so many things and yet the decline of so many others. The birth of the obsession with celebrity, the explosion of the internet, Big Brother, the return of the recession, the slow decline of the music industry, heightened terrorist attacks, WAG’s, The craze over designer jeans and  jeans that changed so much your scared to throw anything away lol, huge shades, the ‘it’ bag, sculptural shoes, and also the birth of the man who likes to look after himself (David Beckham); not to mention the many fashion fads that have come and gone through these last ten years. Lets take a look:

Bling Bling

Flashy jewellery, Diamonds ,Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Expensive watches, Baggy Pants, Oversized T-Shirts, think Lil Kim, Pharrell Williams, P Diddy, 50 Cent and Missy Elliott. The overall consensus the bigger the better baby. (2000 – 2004)

 Mini Trends

Girly Chic, Nu Ravers, Rockstars and  A Return To the Past & A Flash To The Future

Check out a few shots featured in Metal Magazine #18 I love the styling along with the use of red-head Alice Gibb, I’m finding that I’m loving reds lately I don’t know if it’s because they looks so ferocious or if it’s because they are quite versatile style wise, either way. Alice looks stunning in this shoot and I’m loving that last dress.

I’m loving the imagery in this photoshoot featured in Catalogue 4 Argentina. I think the shots look really strong, the nudity against the luxurious furs all of it just sets each other of and creates this alternate vison which surpasses the connotations associated with nudity and fur.

Acne Paper Sweden: A Razor for A Goat by Miguel Reveriego

These are a few shots from a shoot featured in Acne Paper Sweden by Miguel Reveriego. Taking  Black and white photography to blackest of blacks and the whitest of whites Miguel really smashes it with this one creating something which is interesting to the eye yet shows the clothing off in this subordinate way that you wouldn’t usually expect. I love the first 3 shots they just Kill for me like seriously.

Mulberry Spring 2010 Campaign Preview

This is a preview for Mulberry’s Spring 2010 Ad’ campaign, very alien like and confusing however so fashion forward this picture has got me spun,it’s different, stands out from the crowd and very memorable which at the end of the day is one of the main reasons for having an ad campaign in the first place. Also I’m glad Mulberry has decided to stick with the fairground (carousel) theme which was used at their party in london earlier this year. The pictures feature models Sasha Pivovarova & Viktoriya Sasonkina

Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2010 Campaign Preview

This is the Spring 2010 Campaign preview for Yves Saint Laurent featuring Natalia Vodianova shot by Inez & Vinoodh. I’m liking the ad’s so far however it’s not thrilling the way that last seasons campaign did, however since its only a preview I will hold my judgement until I have seen the full set of pictures but I do love the use of colour in these two pics.

Ladies get your straighter, your 16mm barrel tongs and your holding spray, this is the new hair trend that will be rockin’ 2010. Similar to 2009′s Alice Dellal cut, this does not incorporate you shaving the side of your head. Any I love it and I love the styling in these photos. F.A.B. Girls get ready.
